Service Description
On the battlefield, seconds count. The PHTLS: Prehospital Trauma Life Support - Military Version, is designed to teach rapid trauma assessment and treatment in high-pressure, battlefield environments. It integrates PHTLS principles with military-specific trauma care knowledge, emphasizing immediate action on life-threatening injuries and minimizing delays in transport. The course is a collaboration between the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ASC-COT), with content from Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) experts. Since 1996, TCCC has continuously improved combat casualty care, and this course builds upon that evolution to ensure excellence in military prehospital trauma care. It aims to provide critical thinking and evidence-based practices for optimal care in combat zones. This course is held at a private training facility in Encino Texas. $500 is the standard course fee and includes standard meals and lodging. There are no refunds unless the Instructor cancels the course. If a student is unable to attend they will be afforded an opportunity to attend the next scheduled course.
